Soundtrack for Savage Redemption

This soundtrack is a little different from soundtracks from my other books, because the hero in Savage Redemption, Ben, loves punk music. Because I used to listen to a little bit of punk (shout out to my high school BFF, Brian, who introduced me to it), I thought it might be fun to put together a list of punk songs that would work with Ben and Delilah’s story.

You can find the soundtrack on YouTube, except for the original version of “Past Mistakes.” There wasn’t a good recording of it, so I found an acoustic tribute which doesn’t have quite the same energy. Maybe you can hunt down the original 88 Fingers Louie recording on whatever music apps the kids are using these days. 🙂

CP6 soundtrack

  • The Offspring, “Gone Away”
  • The Bouncing Souls, “Cracked”
  • Five across the eyes, “Past Mistakes” (a tribute to 88 Fingers Louie)
  • Lagwagon, “Violins”
  • The Vandals, “Don’t Stop Me Now” (funny video)

B.A.D. Authors Share their Favorite Heroes

As you may or may not know, my upcoming book, Savage Redemption, is a part of the multi-author Bad Alpha Dads series. With all of these fantastic BAD books in the line-up, I wanted to learn a little more about them, so a few of the authors shared their favorite heroes with me. Now you can get a jump on this fantastic grouping of BAD books while you wait for Savage Redemption to come out!

Bad Alpha Dad paranormal romance shapeshifter book covers

Tonya Brooks – Pussy Whipped

When jaguar shifter Jerrett ‘Jett’ Black puts his cub in the deep freezer to contain him, you know he’s a really bad dad. He may be clueless when it comes to taking care of a baby, but his genuine desire to be a good father shines through. Once the cub worms his way into Jett’s heart, he realizes that raising Justis to be a good man, father and alpha might be the most important thing he’ll ever do. Though at the moment he’s more interested in teaching him not to pee on the priceless oriental rug!

Tami Lund – Dragon His Heels

Gabriel Wilde – he’s a reluctant leader, a reluctant dad, and he’s *really* reluctant to find his mate. And yet, despite all this, he does what he needs to, and when the going gets tough, he’s a real standup hero. The perfect leader, an awesome dad, and a heart-melting mate.

McKayla Schutt – Maple’s Strong Alpha

Raymand would put it best: “I’m great because I’m a strong alpha wolf who protects my pack no matter what. *Shrugs* What can I say, I’m a freaking badass.”

Kristen Strassel – Silver Fox

Landon Fox is the quarterback of the Alaska Bloodhounds. This fox shifter built his legendary career by leading his teammates to victory . He’s got no interest in being involved in the reality show The Real Werewives of Alaska, until his first love crashes the show. Landon shows Jenna he can still play as hard in the bedroom as he does on the field.

C.E. Black – Makeshift Mate

Locke Winfield is a great hero because even though he can be a little clueless and a total ALPHA male sometimes, deep down he’s kind and respectful. I love him for that.

Bad Alpha Dads – More to Come!

I hope you enjoyed this peek into the Bad Alpha Dad world! I’ll be back next week with the glimpse at the Savage Redemption playlist and a little more about the book. In case you haven’t seen it yet, I wrote a free prequel story called “Irredeemable,” and it’s available right now on Apple Books!

Savage Redemption, Coming Soon

paranormal romance book

Advance review copies have gone out and now I’m waiting…waiting…waiting. Savage Redemption releases on November 6th, so if you live in the US, you will hopefully go vote, and then buy your very own copy to read! (Or buy your copy first, and then vote. Either way–I won’t be picky about your process.)

While we wait, here’s a little excerpt from the book!

She reached for him again, caressed his biceps and tugged him toward her. He lowered himself onto the mattress. All his dreams were coming true in this moment. Now that he had her in his bed, what would he do with her first?

Please her. Make her want more. Make her want to stay.

Stuff I Love: Lost Girl

lost girlIn the Facebook reader group I run with Keira Blackwood and Tori Knightwood, Paranormal Paramours, a bunch of us started talking about Lost Girl. I can’t remember how or why–it probably started with a gif that I was clueless about, which is how I often discover television shows and movies I’ve missed!

At any rate, the “hook” of the series got me right away–the heroine of the show is a succubus named Bo and she fights fae crime. Heck yes! I had to check it out.

What I love about this show is the mystery, the magic, and Kenzi. All the characters, really, but Kenzi just makes me smile.

Right now I’m nearing the end of Season 2. I’m pacing myself and watching an episode a day while I eat my lunch. It’s a lot of fun and I’m totally shipping Kenzi and Hale, and if nothing comes of that, I’ll be searching for fanfic because I reallllly want to see them together!

It’s kind of bizarre coming late to a show that everyone has already watched, when spoilers abound on the internet (yeah, I accidentally found out how the end of Season 4 goes), but it’s also a chill and stress-free way to watch a series.

How about you? Have you seen it? Is the best still yet to come for me in this series?

Shades of Pink, Vol. 3

shades of pink banner

I am so thrilled to be a part of this worthy charity anthology in support of breast cancer research! Below are the details. Go, donate, and get yourself a great anthology in the process!

As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2013 and 2014, the first Shades of Pink events raised over $10,000 for research!

For our third event, 33 authors have allied for 1 cause: fundraising for research. Their gift to everyone who makes a donation? A romance anthology (ebook) titled Shades of Pink (volume 3), totaling over 270,000 words.

The suggested donation is $5. Funds are raised via Stayclassy.org and all proceeds go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Readers can also donate to the charity organization of their choice (with a focus on breast cancer) and email their receipt to receive their copy of the anthology in either PDF, ePub or mobi (kindle).

The 31 brand new, never published before short stories vary from sweet (no sex) to explicit or kinky, with shifters, vampires, mermaids, or plain ‘vanilla’ humans, set in the past, the present or the future.

To donate, click here to visit the fundraiser page.

Special thanks to author Kallysten for organizing this endeavor. ❤
